The SPAS-12 (Sports And Shooting 12) is a dual purpose 12 gauge shotgun. Thought not the most powerful Shotgun, it is more popular over the pump-action variants because of the fact that it's an automatic shotgun. With this ability, the Player can create follow-up shots should the first shell not kill an enemy. The only drawback of the Spas-12 is its low ammo capacity, which can be remedied with an extended magazine modification.
This weapon is generally associated as being one of the worst in the game, alongside the Galil Sniper. However, unlike the Galil Sniper, the SPAS-12 does have a niche which makes it worth using; It is extremely effective in the [AI] missions, particularly [AI]Pyramid. Since there are so many enemies in such tight quarters, it can faster rack up large killstreaks than other weapons.
However, outside of the [AI] missions, use of the Spas-12 is generally discouraged and is considered a "troll" weapon more than anything.
Of all shotguns, the SPAS-12 is the least expensive at 45,000 Euros.

- There were 2 versions of the Spas-12 introduced: one with a folding stock (similiar to the one in AVA) and the other model with a permenant wooden stock.
- This gun is referred to as "nooby" by some players because of the fact that the Spas-12 is an automatic shotgun
